Located in the beautiful Argyll and Bute, St Conan’s Kirk is a short 24-minute drive from Tyndrum in the village of Lochawe. Its magical lochside setting gives the Kirk a sense of something fantastical.
St Conan’s Kirk was designed and built by Walter Douglas-Campbell and is wholly unique in having an example of nearly every style of church architecture – including the great Norman doorway, the Saxon tower and Gothic flying buttresses. Walter commissioned some of the finest craftsmen to decorate the interior of the Kirk – and you can tell!
St Conan’s Kirk has a great community and often holds various different events. Apart from being a popular wedding location, the Kirk hosts recitals, concerts and poetry evenings.
