Where to Grab a Wee Dram around Tyndrum

For wind-down time

Whether you’ve had a hard day on the hills or a leisurely day fishing on the lochs, enjoying a nice relaxing dram at the end of the day could never go amiss (especially when you’re on holiday!). And here’s where you can settle down with a wee dram in and around Tyndrum…

Best Western The Crianlarich Hotel

With log fires and cosy lounges, this Victorian hotel is one of the cosiest places to settle down in after a long day of adventure. The Crianlarich Hotel’s bar has a wide selection of beers, wines, award-winning and Single Malt Whiskies from traditional distilleries. But most importantly, it’s pet friendly!

The Drovers Inn

The Drovers Inn has a wonderfully old, ancient feel about it. Stuffed to the brim with taxidermy, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped right into the unique past of Scotland. The Drovers Inn has a dim, small and intimate bar area that is filled with character and charm. The bar offers a range of Scottish Whiskies, draught, lagers, ales and spirits.

On top of this, they serve tea and fresh coffee as well as a range of traditional Scottish dishes (such as Haggis neeps and tatties!). And just a 15-minute drive from our park, it’s a must-visit if you’re after a quiet and relaxing afternoon. If you want something a bit more upbeat, make sure to visit The Drovers Inn on the weekend when they almost always have live music!

But be wary, The Drovers Inn is said to be one of the most haunted hotels in Britain…

Clachaid Inn

Clachaid Inn lives a 40-minute drive away from us and is famous for it’s three award-winning bars. Each bar has its own distinctive character – meaning that this place is suited to almost anyone! Want to see a lively bar? This place has it: The Boots Bar. Want something a little more quiet? You’ve got The Snug. Want something a bit in between? The Bidean Lounge.

The Clachaid Inn has just shy of 400 different Scottish Whiskies, 150+ Scottish gins, 20+ Scottish rums, vodkas and liqueurs and a large range of Scottish beers from independent craft breweries. They host exciting Whisky Tasting Master Classes and each bar is dog friendly! Honestly, what more could you want?

Rod & Reel

The Rod & Reel is located right in the centre of Crianlarich and tucked neatly beneath Ben More. This is a great place to unwind after a long day hiking, fishing, or kayaking. It’s a great place for a pint and serves up delicious lager, whisky and ale.

The Tyndrum Inn

If you’re after something a bit more local, we have the Tyndrum Inn which is right next door to our holiday park and only a matter of minutes away on foot. This Inn is family owned and run and has a great selection of local scotch whiskies, beers, wine and ale. Perfectly charming and perfectly local!

Enjoying a wee dram is a great pass-time, either on a rainy day, on a sunny day, post-hike or post-fishing, and there are plenty of spots to cosy into in and around Tyndrum. So without further ado, Slàinte Mhath, and drink well!
