The perfect family outing if the weather changes your plans, Oban Phoenix Cinema is a fully independent community owned cinema and charity.
The cinema was built in the 1950s as the Highland Theatre and was closed down in 2010 due to bankruptcy, leaving the town of Oban with no cinema for 100
miles. The community banded together to fundraise and reopen the cinema in 2012 with refurbishment and modernisation carried out by the community.
In addition to the latest Hollywood hits, the Oban Phoenix streams live performances from the likes of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
